How returned or cancelled orders would be reflected in the final tax calculation sheet?

  • The merchant should bill only for the products that have been delivered; remaining products should not be billed.
  • He can return the amount from the payment gateway, as the refund field is flexible with the amount.
  • Since he has not generated an invoice for the undelivered products, he doesn’t have to worry about tax for them.
  • If he has already generated an invoice, he can cancel it.
  • If he can't cancel the invoice because it has already been filed in GST, he can create a credit note with his CA for that invoice and submit it in the tax portal.
